Meditating in Mountains
"The only way to heal the world is to heal ourselves, and the only way to heal ourselves is to connect with and understand each other."
Marianne Williamson

Who I am

As a young child, I had a deep need for understanding others and being understood. I believed that communication was the lifeline to relationships by building trust. Through years of growth and reflection, I learned that communication is only effective with comprehension, which takes presence, patience, and active listening.

My life journey took me from counseling others, to stay at home parent, to small business owner, to technology startup, and right back to counseling others. The skills and knowledge I gained in my education helped me deepen my personal and professional relationships. The key to finding fulfillment in each of these unique stages of my life centered around healthy relationships based on respect and trust, where communication was the foundation.

My Approach to Therapy

Life throws us curve balls that can be incredibly challenging to handle alone. While seeking support from loved ones can be comforting, sometimes it's helpful to explore emotions with an objective and trained professional who can provide unbiased guidance without judgment.

As your counselor, I offer a safe space where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of criticism. Together, we can delve into the causes of your struggles, helping you gain valuable insights, and develop effective coping skills.

Unresolved patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, often developed in the past as coping mechanisms, may no longer serve you in today's circumstances. I can assist you in identifying and understanding these patterns, empowering you to break free from their limitations and embrace new possibilities.

I provide compassion and empathy to adults looking to heal, grow, and navigate life's challenges. I offer understanding, acceptance, patience, and genuine care.

Who I Help

I am passionate about working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, grief and loss, women’s issues, emotional disturbance, and spiritual exploration among other concerns. As your mental health counselor, I am committed to your healing.

More About Me

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and traveling with my husband, walking our chocolate labradoodle, laughing with our teenage and adult children, and cooking for my family. I also love to unwind, sipping hot tea while watching movies and reading books.
